Gundagai History Museum

In southern NSW at the town of Gundagai, located 4-5hrs drive from Sydney is a wonderful heritage town museum which showcases the towns rich history stretching back to the 1850s. In the museum is displays of olden day lifestyle, communication devices, homes, clothes, vehicles, farming machinery, books, military history, newspaper clippings, famous horse memorabilia, model displays, military equipment, horse carts and much much more.

It is well worth a visit for anyone interested in seeing another side of Australia’s history that is not always available to be seen in our big cities.
